LONDON, July 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Britain's churches and other religious buildings could raise 34 million pounds Sterling a year for their coffers by installing solar panels, according to new figures from the British Gas Green Streets programme, which are unveiled today.

As a veteran of the US armed forces, I am concerned about America’s reliance on fossil fuels. On the one hand, it makes us dependent on unstable and unfriendly regimes. On the other hand, burning fossil fuels deepens the threat posed by climate change. And have no doubt – this is a threat to American security.

This year, as in years past, families will pack up their cars and hit the road to start their vacation. As the cost of air travel increases and family budgets are squeezed, analysts are again predicting that the price of gasoline will fluctuate in the months ahead. This only adds another unnecessary burden of uncertainty on Americans.
