Just a day before the United States faces financial default, House lawmakers approved a compromise bill that will raise the nation's debt ceiling in exchange for trillions of dollars in federal spending cuts.

House Republicans have essentially won everything they wanted, with even MORE to come.

I recently saw a commercial on the Fox News channel featuring Mike Huckabee who was exhorting viewers to sign a petition that would repeal "Obamacare."

One of the excuses that he used to repeal it is that it would add to the nation's deficit.

Among the many accusations that have been directed at President Obama, is that he is a "socialist."

So what does Socialism actually mean?

Traditional Judeo-Christianity would have us believe that God simply uttered some words and the universe was born in one week, some 6000 years ago. Unfortunately, it is this type of ancient thinking that turns many people away from Christianity.

Just because the creation records do not extend past thousands of years does not mean that creation itself is that old.
