Hostile Takeover - The Corporate Control of Society and Human Life
Tuesday 25th April 2006, by Stephen Lendman
If you 9 or 90 years old this article describes (http://www.selvesandothers.org/article14010.html) what the U.S. actually Is right now. No opinion or belief can trump the law of profit maximization. It is the game that we all must play. Our only choice is to go along to get along or get out of their way. We don’t want another WWII type of crisis that forces people to act. If we wait to confront the way things are now it will be too late. It’s that simple. The hope of working until one kicks back on retirement and enjoys their golden years is gone. I just don’t see the parents and grandparents of the Gen X’ers stepping back and admitting that this is unattainable. They’ve been dealt a horrible hand and were promised a steady and relatively stable life. These people need to wake up. Their government gave up on them and now everything is out of control. They are the broken hearted puppy dogs in the corner with the droopy and confused expression. Their traditional news sources keep reminding them to hang on. If we knew that this game was truly broken there would be no news industry. The only way our country still stands is because companies have instituted a business philosophy that demands structure. Psychologically, we are a house of cards because we depend on this philosophy to run our lives. Religion and faith are losing. It’s all lip service unless a group or company steps up publicly to set an example against this narrow profit maximization philosophy.
