*THE HT3 PEACE NETWORK *
The family of Herman Taylor III - the city's 37th victim of gun violence -
and a growing network of concerned citizens is organizing its first march
and rally to bring awareness, peace and healing to neighborhoods impacted by
violence in the greater Boston area.
*ON THE FIFTH ANNIVERSARY OF 9-11*
Join elected officials, community, and business leaders from various
communities to:
- Pay tribute to those who lost their lives at Ground Zero
- Honor soldiers and pray for peace on foreign shores to
- Send a message about the critical need for peace and solidarity in
communities terrorized by violence on America's streets to
- Encourage support for all the families who have lost loved ones to
violence, the HT3 Peace Network, and other initiatives working for peace.
*MESSAGE FROM THE HT3 PEACE NETWORK*
We can no longer tolerate living in a country where we stand idly by, while
we cannot sit peacefully on our porches, walk peacefully to the corner
store, or play peacefully in front of our homes. The hour of day was chosen
for maximum visibility as people commute home and to underscore the point
that people's lives - from grieving families to frustrated officials - are
being interrupted more each day as the issues feeding this problem continue
to escalate.
*SPEAKERS*
Civic, community, and business leaders
Peace advocates from all cultures, communities, and walks of life
Families from around the region who have been impacted by violence
