Upcoming Events? Best evangelical blogs?

Hi, I've been blogging somewhat seriously for about two months. More recently, I've realized that I should be blogging about church issues--particuarly with a leftist slant.

I live in DC & my parents live in Nashville, TN. Upcoming events?

Also, recommended blogs to check out in terms of progressive evangelism?

I check out Sojourners, Faith in Public Life, and Faithful Democrat.
And have more recently been checking out McLaren's blog.

A number of folks active in CrossLeft and IPC are in the DC area and we do have folks in Nashville area, but we are not doing the meet ups this summer that we did last summer. Maybe we should. Let me know if you are interested in helping do a progressive Christian event.
