A Call from the Hip Hop Caucus to Spare the Life of Troy Davis in Georgia
On July 17, 2007 the state of Georgia is set to execute Troy Anthony Davis, despite the mounting evidence that proves his innocence. The only thing that stands in the path of Troy's imminent execution is you the people.
The Hip Hop Caucus has teamed with Amnesty International, the National Coalition to Aboilish the Death Penalty, and our good friends Bishop Desmond Tutu, Jesse Jackson Jr., and others in a global letter writing campaign to the. Georgia Board of Pardons and Paroles - the only entity that can still spare Troy's life.
Please visit: www.troyanthonydavis.org and clickthe action alert to send your letter to make your voice heard.
With your help we can stop this injustice.

Re: Troy Davis
Dear Chairperson Hunt and Boardmembers -
On behalf of the Hip Hop Caucus, I'm writing to add our voices and organization to the thousands of human rights leaders from around the world who are calling for the sparing of the life of Troy Davis in the state of Georgia. We are opposed to capital punishment. In particular, in the case of Troy Davis, serious questions have been raised concerning his possible innocence in the alleged charges. The state of Georgia should not execute Troy Davis. We believe in equal justice and fairness for all people. A violation of the human rights of Troy Davis is a violation of human rights for all people.
Sincerely,
Rev. Lennox Yearwood Jr.
President, Hip Hop Caucus
