The Gospel Truth

Dear Fellow Journeyer,

Let us start by saying how truly joyful we are to have found out you exist! We have been laboring in a home-based fellowship in the Dallas, Texas area for the last 4 years after having left the confines of more traditional evangelical churches for the warmth and safety of our Living Room. Like Elijah of old, we began to wonder if we were alone in believing that our God really is good and really is love. Now that we have found you, we know we are not alone.

Which brings us to our other purpose for reaching out to you. We have been working for quite some time in the independent film industry. A short while back, we were involved in writing and producing an action film called Red Ridge (http://www.redridgethemovie.com/). We had a lot of fun. We learned a lot. And we won the Grand Jury Prize for Best Feature at the New York International Independent Film Festival: (http://www.nyfilmvideo.com/2007/la-september/awards/la-september-2007-aw...)

Having received such a tremendous accolade, the question on everyone’s minds became… what would we do next? What we wanted to do was something affordable and yet commercially viable, something that would create cognitive dissonance in the minds of those who see it, and something that would reach those who could never be reached by traditional methods. And so was born The Gospel Truth, an irreverent yet inspirational comedy/mockumentary of divine proportions.

Our script is beautiful and funny and definitely outside of the box. It will surely create controversy as well as critical acclaim. We have a talented cast of leads already in place with plans to fill other roles using our many and legitimate connections to some of Hollywood’s elite. We have also re-joined forces with the award-winning Director and Sound & Post-Production Supervisor of Red Ridge, who have made their talents, their facilities, and their equipment available to us.

The Gospel Truth is slated to roll on January 17, 2008. At this time we are still, financially speaking, too far in the hole to make this film on our own. We need your help. People like us, who believe God is bigger than any earthly church. People like us, who KNOW God is Love and therefore makes His love available to EVERYONE. All it will take to bring this story to the screen is a VERY small donation from each of those who have eyes to see and ears to understand what we are trying to accomplish for the Kingdom.

Our film, The Gospel Truth, will reach out to those who feel abandoned by traditional churches, such as the gay and lesbian communities, and let them know they were never abandoned by Our Father. Part of the proceeds from this film will be used to help feed the poor and reach those in prison. We believe we have been called as missionaries into this field ripe for harvest and therefore we believe it is only right that we appeal to those “in Jerusalem” for the finances we need to help fulfill our destinies.
