Illustration of Protest
Submitted by Angelo Lopez on Thu, 01/10/2008 - 19:45
I hope you all don't mind. I came into Crossleft to listen to Progressive ideas, but I'm also an artist. I'm a big fan of the great political cartoonists and lately I've been putting more of my politics into my art. I also do illustrations for my church bulletin. Hope you enjoy my art.

Thanks Janet and Eileen
Yeah, I think the fault may be mine. I'm still learning about blogging, so I may have done the wrong thing in trying to attach the file. Actually Stephen suggest that I post some of my art and I'm grateful for the opportunity.
Janet, I ink my drawings on bristol board, then scan them in the computer and save them as a PDF file. I have Photoshop and Illustrator, but I don't really alter much my art in those software. When I scan my paintings, I use Photoshop sometimes to adjust the color of my backgrounds. I don't know Fireworks but it sounds like a good program.
Look forward to seeing your art too, Janet. And Eileen, I still have your book to read. Look forward to reading it. If you're curious about my art, you could look at http://www.gallerysaratoga.com/artists/Lopez/index.html.

I couldn't open the attachment either.
But i love it that you are both creatives, which requires IMAGINATION.

Oh Angelo!
Me too!! So are you going to upload us some art? Or start illustrating your blogs? I'm ever so interested because I have been trying different ideas on for size for me. (I think I've about decided to illustrate my own blogs. Unless I think of something better soon.)
I can't view your crossleft-rotating.gif, I don't know why but I've tried to open it in three different programs and no joy. Is the problem me? (It probably is.)
Oh yeah, and what software do you use for your illustrating? I usually use PhotoShop, but sometimes grab Fireworks because it's faster.
