Cross Left is a grass roots activism vehicle for its sister organization, The Institute for Progressive Christianity. Our mission is to further awareness and understanding that the progressive tradition is rooted in core Christian gospel values, and to relate that tradition to personal faith, public policy, family, and the common good. Our goal is to bring true Christian values to our nation and the world.

Cross Left’s objectives include developing strategies for long term change, building awareness and educating the American public about the Progressive Christian movement, and coordinating social and political action corresponding with our progressive beliefs.
