highest wisdom

The highest wisdom is to intuitively perceive the truth and to arrive at the spiritual realization that God and man are absolutely united. This is difficult though because we have been conditioned to look outside ourselves to others. As small children we depended on our parents for almost everything, and later we learn to depend on our jobs, families and friends for support. We are not separated from God so why do we need another to translate God's intention for us? We think we need others to translate because we are individuals who think we are separate within God, but we are unit consciousness within pure consciousness. Pure consciousness is not separate from us; we separate our unit consciousness with the thought that we are separate. The Bible confirms this thought and quotes Jesus as saying "Ye are perfect just as your Father in heaven is perfect.” The soul is the starting point for this perfection. http://thinkunity.com

unity vertical, horizontal

Sorry my second post was a reply to you Bill. I don't know why it jumped up and not after your post.

I use to think I was a body with a soul so my priority was my body and physical existence. This lead me astray and into troubled waters. I have a soul so always found my way back. Bill, you are right we can't get lost because pure consciousness is all around and inside us, but my awareness can focus on the tree and not see the forest.

Now, I want to think of myself first as a soul with a body as a vehicle to get me around on this plane. It just keeps my focus in the right stuff. I see Christ as a tangent pointing to the all pervading consciousness so I keep focussed on the forest and not the tree, but it really doesn't matter except I feel much better pointed or facing the Christ body and not my own.

I agree our human bodies are made from the same stuff that all things are made of because all things are conceived from one pure consciousness. Multiplicity is manifested from this pure consciousness because it is the unity and the medium of all action. The many never contradicts the Unity of the whole unless our limited minds put a limit on God. The worlds of multiplicity are entirely supported in a Universe of Unity; therefore; evolution is not creating intelligent life, intelligent life is just projecting from pure consciousness.

Is there a difference?

Soul with a body, body with a soul -- either way, it's the same, a unity of the whole.

So it would seem with evolution and the creation or projection of intelligent life.

Why do we look to others?

Well, if "God and man are absolutely united", then I think it should follow that "man and man are absolutely united".

The Bible reference to that is "the Body of Christ".

The way I see it, there is no conflict between the soul as the starting point and the Body as the starting point.

We sure have a long way to go.

Bill

I would agree soul and body

I would agree soul and body are united. I find more clarity identifying with my soul and relating to the body than identifying with a body and relating to the soul. In this way I am enjoying my body as it ages and not fighting it.
