Dietrich Bonhoeffer (February 4, 1906 – April 9, 1945)
“God, let my thoughts be gathered to you.
With you there is light, you do not forget me.
With you there is help, with you there is patience.
I do not understand your ways, but you know the way for me.”
-- Dietrich Bonhoeffer
Gracious God, the Beyond in the midst of our life, who gave grace to your servant Dietrich Bonhoeffer to know and teach the truth as it is in Jesus Christ, and to bear the cost of following him: Grant that we, strengthened by his teaching and example, may receive your word and embrace its call with an undivided heart; through Jesus Christ our Savior, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.

Boenhoffer Worthy Christian
Thank you for the post on Dietrich Boenhoffer. I've only recently known of Boenhoffer. I checked out a documentary on him from my church library and learned a lot. He was a courageous man and principled Christian during the time of the Nazis.
