Social Security

Private pension plans are disappearing, the market is never a guarantee, as it dips and rises, so we must support Social Security for a retirement and disability plan. We at Crossleft.org, as Christians support a retirement plan for all Americans that work and contribute to it. Social Security has did the job for seventy years and is still doing the job.

The doomsday prophets that condemn Social Security are wrong. Social Security is solvent as currently funded until 2052. The Congressional Budget office says that raising the payroll tax for all income, now it only goes to the first 102,000, would eliminate any projected shortfalls right now.

As Christians we are called to support the elderly, the widow, and the sick. By affirming Social Security, we do our duties as Christians.
