I REMEMBERED!!!
I remembered the call, only 30 minutes late! What a pleasure it was.
Hurray for Janet
I am glad you made it!
And I got lost in work.
Sorry folks, I missed the call tonight. The company I work for was just bought out by former VP (great move BTW) and now I have a lot of management project conversion work to do. I currently manage four projects; closing down 2 and opening two. Tons of work. I lost track of time. One of those "senior moment" things :)
I look forward to reading Jim's minutes. Next time---
Rich
And I forgot...
...that yesterday was Tuesday. So I fell asleep in the recliner while trying to watch a little news.
This is Wednesday, right? In May. Two thousand ought and something.
I think I'm having a senior decade.
Bill
NEVER campaign
Jim,
I'd like to suggest an item:
It would be great if CrossLeft were to endorse the NEVER campaign. I've been involved in the effort which seeks to organize religious bloggers against torture. It would be great if we could endorse it and send out an action alert to our list around the petition.

NEVER Campaign
Added.
Won't make Conference Call
I'll be working Tuesday night so I won't be able to make the conference call. would someone be able to publish some notes of the meeting?
Good question xianarchist. Maybe someone could define some of the groups so there'd be less confusion.
Different
Ok, so this is different from the theology panel, which is different from the group that looked at the bonhoffer paper, which is...
How many groups are there again? And what is the CrossLeft Board supposed to do?
Groups
As a point of clarification, let us start off with mentioning there is Crossleft and there is The Institute for Progressive Christianity. It all gets easier after that. Many of the same peole are involved with both outfits but they are two separate entities. The I.P.C. is a think tank and Crossleft is more politically action orientated. The I.P.C. has an established board. The panel of theologians are to be part of the I.P.C. The Institute has its own website: http://www.instituteforprogressivechristianity.org/
Crossleft has no board but we have been doing these conference calls for a few months. They are a prelude to forming a Crossleft Board. Hopefully on this call we will take the first steps to forming a Crossleft Board that will ultimately make decisions for Crossleft.
thanks
Thanks for the clarification. Good to know which group the panel is under.
Are there forums for IPC? I didn't see any. Or do the CrossLeft forums do double duty?
IPC
I have never seen any either. Folks do post on it though. If Steve or any of the other longer term memebers want to interjest here, please feel free.
