McClellan's New Book, So What?

I am a news junkie and surfed the net as well as the main stream media news shows this morning on what was being said about Scott McClellan’s soon to be released book “What happened: Inside the Bush White House and Washington’s Culture of Deception”. McClellan was part of the “Texas Mafia” that included Karen Hughes and Karl Rove and came to Washington with Bush. McClellan was the White Press Secretary and would appear to us almost daily with the lies and con jobs of the Bush administration as they took us to war.
McClellan is going to tell us in his new book about how the attack on Iraq was in the Bush plans all along and the propaganda surrounding it was a well thought out scheme designed to dupe the public. McClellan is telling us that Bush and Rove and the whole happy gang were in denial about Hurricane Katrina and then finally Rove arranged a fly over to demonstrate that they really did care.
Bush, Dana Perrino, the current White House Press Secretary, and other insiders are saying how “puzzled” they are. Almost all uniformly using the word “puzzled”. Are these guys rehearsed and on the same page or what? Rove, ever the sly fox, said “It shows how out of the loop he was. It doesn’t sound like Scott, it sounds like a left wing blogger” As a left wing blogger, I want to thank you Karl. The propaganda machine immediately attacks his credibility, not his statements. This is a familiar pattern with the crime syndicate running America.

What is absolutely the most astounding thing to me is that the media is acting like this is shocking news! After the Downing Street memo, how can this be shocking news? The Downing Street memo coming right out of the U.K.s equivalent of the Secret Service and told us the intelligence was being fixed around selected facts. Richard Clarke, an administration counter-terrorism expert came out a few years ago and told us all the same thing. Army Lt Gen. Richard Sanchez, a military commander in Iraq, has accused the Bush criminals of “gross incompetence and dereliction of duty”. Heck, those of us who were listening to Canadian news reports and searching alternative media in the lead up to the war, knew that Bush was lying.
Is McClellan’s book going to change anything? There is a hard core group of Bush supporters; it seems to be around 20% to 25% that support him no matter what. Bush could commit a hideous crime on the White House lawn with all cameras rolling , tell his loyalists that he had to do it to fight terrorism and it was God’s will and his loyal followers would still be there for him.
We have been told time and time again, by expert after expert, that the war is a lie, A BIG FAT LIE. The big question is, what are going to do about it? As far as our Congress goes, it seems we are going to keep feeding it huge amounts of American lifes, cash, and treasure. Stop the war in Iraq now, we need just enough funding to bring the troops home in a timely manner, and end this disaster perpetuated on this country by the worst President in American history.
