Toward a Theology of Social Responsibility

The spirit that motivates me to pursue the efforts of the Theology Panel is one that seeks to develop theological underpinings in support of our professed social action goals. At this point I believe a Theology of Social Responsibility best expressed my intent. Let's pursue this further on this evenings conference call shall we.

Maybe more pressing concerns

That sounds like a great topic. However, I suspect we have more pressing concerns. I believe that we might want to discuss the relationship with CL and IPC more fully.

I know that CL doesn't want to turn non-progressives away, and I believe that our conversations on the site will do just that. So, I think that carrying on our conversations on CL may actually damage its growth. The theology panel should be posting primarily on IPC if that is the direct affiliation. Then, we can crosspost on CL with more targeted theological-political thoughts.

Whatever we decide, from what I've seen we need to construct a stronger foundation before we enter into the larger theological task at hand.
