A Beautiful Moment with Ted Kennedy.

"The Dream Lives On..."

I think everyone at the DNC and around the country would agree what a wonderful event it was to see Teddy Kennedy up in front of the world still a beacon for social justice. Health care, civil rights, arms control...Ted Kennedy has been on the side of justice for so many of the last five decades.

His role in connecting Obama with the Kennedy legacy is absolutely incredible and necessary in bringing the party together.

God bless Teddy

Just seeing Teddy Kennedy's courage and determination to fight on no matter the personal cost is truly inspiring, a living, real time example of the Kennedy grit.

On a more sober note I think we have been witness to another "Kennedy moment" if I might say. While I was inspired by his courage and strength I had the very real sense that this was the last major speech by an old Lion now facing the inevitable time when he goes on to join his brothers in the here after. Sad yes, but so powerfully inspiring. Never give up, never stop fighting for your principles.

God bless you Senator Ted Kennedy.

Wow, Michelle

Tremendously human and wonderful speech. She had me in tears and it was quite inspiring.

Well done Michelle

Michelle and those two cute little girls gives us a real sense of the Obama family. Tough and compassionate, strong yet gentle and deeply committed to making a real change in America.

As an old farm boy I did not, though, get a real sense that the Obama's have even a vague sense of what it is like to live close to the land, to work the soil. Nor would I as a coal miner, or a lumber jack, or a waterman, get a sense that Sen. Obama understands my world. These are urban folks, working for the urban disadvantaged.

I'm not sure he can make the connection, and will lose any chance of getting the true blue collar vote in any numbers, beyond the union movement. The true independent vote is still very much up for grabs.
