Barack Obama and Palin's Pregnant 17 year old Daughter

Republican Vice- Presidential pick Sarah Palin has a pregnant 17 year old daughter, who is still in high school.
In an interview today Barack Obama said:
“Let me be a clear as possible: I have said before and I will repeat again, I think people's families are off limits," Obama said, "and people's children are especially off limits.”
"This shouldn't be part of our politics," he continued, "It has no relevance to Gov. Palin's performance as governor, or her potential performance as a vice president.
"And so I would strongly urge people to back off these kinds of stories," he said. "You know my mother had me when she was 18, and how a family deals with issues and, you know, teenage children, that shouldn't be the topic of our politics and I hope that anybody who is supporting me understands that's off limits."
Is Barack Obama a good man or what? Isn’t this the Christian response? Do we need any further proof that Obama has a good soul?
If the roles were reversed and it was just discovered that the new Democratic Vice-Presidential candidate had a pregnant 17 year old would the reaction be the same from the Republicans? I think not. I think the slime machine would be set in motion and we would be reminded on every channel on TV and by the army of neo-con Republican propagandists on the radio, with big fat Rush Limbaugh leading the way, of this being just another example of the moral shortcomings of the Democrats. We would be told of the decline of the family and how the Republicans are the family values party. If it were a Democrat, it would be pointed out what a poor parent they were to have an offspring in such a situation.
Yet it is not a Democrat, it is a Republican. Barack Obama says to play clean and fair and I hope they will.
