HEALTH ALERT- New viral strain on the loose!

A quick health alert. There is new viral infection just now being spread. It hits fast and hard. It may begin with simple muscle weakness, onset of severe headaches, followed by severe dehyration, explosive diarhea and almost total dehabilitation.

Late week one my wife's high school students lost a whole week to it, one of her fellow teachers has a two year old with it and I now am losing time to it. As I just celebrated my 68th this past Tuesday, it seems to be hitting the youngest and oldest generations.

I've had a bad week, to say the least. It began on Monday with muscle weakness, which I attributed to the side effect to some of my heart meds. When it got worse on Tueday I tried to work it out. Dumb move Richard! I then got an appointment with my family doctor for Wednesday. When I arrived there I got uncontrolable shakes. My doctor helped me with that. When I got home from my doctor at 9:30 AM I put myself to bed, and did not awaken until 8 PM. I lost an entire day. Yesterday morning when I tried to get to the bathroom, I fell on the floor and not only could not get on my feet, I could not even sit up, to even get my balance. As Liz had already left for work I was on my own.

Fortunately I had had the foresight to place my cel phone on my night stand, called 911 and spent several hours in the emergency room. Tests showed a viral infection, one the hospital is now only beginning to see the emergence of.

Please pass the word. This is a nasty one. If you are male, for God's sake don't play the mocho male thing. Get thee to a doctor quick. If you're a woman and your husband plays mocho, as we guys often have a tendency to do, give him a quick dope slap up along side his head and get him to a doctor!

For our pastors pass along the word this Sunday. This viral infection is apparently in its opening phase, so not much is known to date.
