What I Hope Will Come Out Of The Progressive Christian Summit

I hope that God's desires will come out of the Progressive Christian Summit (PCS).  I pray that we, along with fellow Progressive Christian leaders will find the rock from which to build the foundations of our cause so that we will have firm ground to stand upon as we speak prophetically in unison for justice and truth.  I pray that we will be able to form the alliances among fellow Progressive Christians that will be able to help us take back the conversation on faith and society.  I pray that we will be able to take back our hijacked faith from the fundamentalists on the Religious Right that have reduced the teachings of Jesus and our canon of faith to two wedge issues:  gay marriage and abortion.  I pray that we will continue to celebrate the diversity of opinions that God has blessed each individual with.  Again, I pray above all things that God's will be represented in the PCS.  I pray that Christ will be pleased with our discussions, our decisions, and our actions.  I pray that we will all feel convicted to continue to take up this cross and follow Him on this path of regaining and sustaining faith, morality, and truth in this nation.  That is what I hope will come out of the Progressive Christian Summit.
