I know intuitively that Earth humans are not alone in the vast cosmos. Why, I wonder, would the Creator of all that is populate only one tiny planet with intelligent beings?
I’ve read the rebuttal. If intelligent beings exist elsewhere in the cosmos, why have they not made themselves known? Why, during all of our space explorations, have we not seen evidence of populated planets? Why do our scientists not perceive indications of human life as they peer into their high-powered telescopes?
I know intuitively that they have and they do. The powers that be have simply chosen not to disclose their findings to the people. In the 1990s, Laurence Rockefeller attempted to persuade the American government to release all documents depicting UFOs and contact with extraterrestrials. Documents relating to the “Rockefeller Initiative” were recently released by the Clinton Presidential Library and can be viewed at:

Needless to say, our government has neither responded by telling the people what it knows nor has it given our scientists permission to do so.

ONE: THE CAMPAIGN TO MAKE POVERTY HISTORY
We are compelled to care. Every major faith tradition emphasizes giving to others, especially those in need. This universal appeal to charity is rooted intradition, sacred writings and theological understandings. The faith-based call to care for others–to seek justice especially for the least of these–has motivated dramatic social change, and been an instrument of caring and healing throughout history.

I mean, the guy has this way of getting all over you, under your skin, moving inside your head and never letting go!
The longer I have studied, listened to and observed him in the biblical record, in terms of his historical impact and in regard to the effect he has had on my own life and world, the more convinced I am that most people don't really understand him, what he said or who he was.

Introducing the IPC Academic Review Panel Featured Blog
Submitted by Academic Review... on Wed, 03/28/2007 - 15:10Dear Crossleft Community, The Institute for Progressive Christianity, fashioned out of the CrossLeft community approximately two years ago is a Christian think tank that ecumenically weaves together the progressive Christians of Orthodox, Catholic, Evangelical, Mainline Protestant, and Liberal backgrounds. In its two years of existence it has been gathering momentum toward a faithful, inspired, impassioned and yet reasoned and analytical articulation of Christianity as a progressive journey of greater love and justice toward others and a deeper personal communion with God. The Academic Review Panel is the work group at the IPC charged with incubating, generating and supporting the products of the IPC.

Rapid Response: Health Care for America's Children
Submitted by Stephen Rockwell on Tue, 03/27/2007 - 16:03"The moral test of Government is how that Government treats those who are in the dawn of life, the children; those who are in the twilight of life, the elderly; and those who are in the shadows of life, the sick, the needy and the handicapped." Hubert H. Humphrey (with a nod from every religious leader known to humanity)
